Have You Been PC Tablet Shopping Yet Litchford Park Apartments?
Every bodies Doing It…
Apple’s iPad PC Tablet has punched a whole wide open in the personal computing world.  Their marketing is outstanding and if you didn’t know better you may think that the iPad was the only PC Tablet on the market.  But it’s not.
The Tablet era is not brand new Archos (based out of France) has been developing touch screens and Tablets for many years.  There are many others as well who are making quite the mark on the digital mobile computing industry.
Microsoft has a secret weapon and I personally think their tablet is phenomenal.  The Courier has what’s known as an Infinite Journal and is like nothing I’ve ever seen before. Take a close look at the Microsoft Courier.  The rumor of the release date for the Courier is around the 3rd or 4th quarter of 2010.  so keep your eye’s open.  Stop by the Cyber Tech Shop and see if they’ve got any Tablets to check out.

Why Positive Thinking Doesn’t Work

“Good business leaders create a vision, articulate the vision, passionately own the vision, and relentlessly drive it to completion.”  ~Jack Welch

To think that mere positive thought will transport you to your goal is a very dangerous way to live. It is true that what you think absolutely impacts your life.  But, to gamble on telekinesis could hurt you or worst, you could hurt some of the people that you love.  I would like to for a moment paint a clearer picture of positive thinking instead of trying to get rich quick.

With our mind. This is how take authority over our lives but just like the thigh bone is connected to the hip bone the mind is connected to our perception. The way we see things is what causes our behavior and decisions to change. We hear so many messages about “If you can Believe then You can Achieve.” That’s were it starts if you don’t believe that message then that’s what you will achieve but the secret is this… It takes action.

Your Belief In Reaching You Goal Is Powered By Action

Focusing your mind and positive thoughts on seeing what it is that you want to do can be powerful. That’s why setting goals are so important because you can see where you want to go.  If you just receive that statement then you can get to where ever you want to be.  Start to see what you want istead of what you don’t want.  If you have a problem don’t ignore it, fix it quickly, be responsible and keep learning things about what you want to do and be.

Good business leaders create a vision, articulate the vision, passionately own the vision, and relentlessly drive it to completion.

Nobody ever made it to any destination by stopping before they arrived.

Social Media 12 Seconds At A Time

I found out about another cool social media website called 12 Seconds.tv

Today I was watching an interview with Bill Cosby and Mashable and he told me about it and the free account that he12 seconds social media has been using to spread wisdom and crack jokes.

David and Saul, the creaters of 12 seconds say,

“We are building a video status platform that will help you keep up to date with your friends 12 seconds at a time.”

They make it pretty easy to upload video’s and share the with other social networking sites like the worlds largest social network Facebook and Twitter another global favorite.  I don’t know how well 12seconds is going to do but I’m going to try it out it seems like a cool and effective way to get a message out.

Why only 12 seconds?
Because anything longer is boring.  That’s what they said.  But I wouldn’t argue that matter.  We all suffer from time to time with an attention deficit, it’s not just me.

It’s only 12seconds why not give it a try.  Maybe I’ll see you guys in 12 seconds or on 12 seconds.  Or maybe you only read 12 seconds of this blog and you attention has already been hosted by another website.

We love you either way.  Litchford Park Apartments, we’ll be here when you come back home

Archos 9 vs. iPad

The Archos 9 Digital Internet PC Tablet is the catalyst in the personal computing world. I’m more than sure that you are familiar with Apple’s iPad, right? Well, the Archos 9 founded out of France, has been out and running for quite some time now, the company itself for over 10 years. I will give it to Apple, the iPad sure is a whole lot sexier than the Archos but the ability of the Archos 9 is definitely giving the iPad a run for the money. I guess it goes back to that tech-age old PC vs. Mac war. But with a web-cam, a little stick to use with the touch screen and the option to use the mouse buttons and track point you won’t be loosing.

It all depends on what you are looking for. This is just one alternative to the iPad, which appears to be the King of the Internet Tablet World.. But it’s good to have an alternative. Look at this video of the Archos 9 and do your own research.

LEGO Universe Coming Soon

The new LEGO game, LEGO Universe, taps into and goes beyond the imagination. I think that LEGO fans from the past, present and future will

be pleased to meet this online massively multi-player game. Now this is the type of game that more of our children should be playing. I went over to the LEGO Universe website and had a look at the video trailer. This game seems to be very interactive and mentally stimulating. Well, I guess that’s why the say it’s a massively multi player game.

There are know AK 47’s (that I know of), but the avatars do have swords and laser shooter guns which are very cartoon like. Each player is challenged to think and use their imagination in this one. LEGO Universe involves making wrong things right that were made wrong when they used to be right (Lol, watch video), but the victory always goes to the player who is willing to play till the end… I mean, the good guy always wins. Yay!

LEGO Universe comes out in October of 2010 so get ready.

RedBox Movie Review: The Spy Next Door (Free Rental)

From one movie buff to another, I’ve got a great opportunity for you.  Well, actually its not mine to give but to share.  Redbox is always offering deals promotions and free movie rentals.  I checked my inbox this morning a got a cool email from the people at Redbox.  I’ve been looking to watch the movie The Spy Next Door with Jackie Chan, Amber Valletta, and Madeline Carroll.  It looks kind of silly but that’s the feel I was going for.  It’s almost like I’ve seen this film already though, it reminds me of The Pacifier with Vin Diesel.  But anyway it seems like a pretty nice fun movie to see this weekend.

This is the Redbox promotion: When you rent two or more movies at one time for regular price they’ll send you a promo code in around three days.  You can use this code to get a free DVD renal.  Just provide your email address when you checkout and that’s it.  They set it up though so you can’t abuse the system.  You can’t keep going back  using the same code over and ever.  But one free movie night is a good deal seeing as though you got it for free.

See what movies are available.  The closest Redbox is at the Lowes Food Store, here’s a map.   Check out The Spy Next Door Trailer:

What About The Credit Cards?

How The Credit Card Act Can Help You

I feel like I can take a deep breath now. Sheesh! I was looking at TV earlier today and I saw a an update on the credit cards law. The over charge fees and low payment fees just seemed to be outrageous.

Mr. Credit Card: “Hey, you didnt use your credit card this month, that’ll be $20. Thanks.” credit-cards

Is that crazy or what? Fortunately, I have never owened a credit card of my own. I didnt really understand how to use one until recently (about a year ago) and I just knew that I would drive my debt up and credit score down. I can now tell the difference between good debt and bad debt and how to use a credit card to give myself a personal loan. This type of debt (good debt) is used to invest into assets. The best kinds of assets in my opinion would be those that you enjoy and that have the ability to generate a passive or residual income.

With that method of credit card usage, as long as you are wise and timely with the currency, you can really change your families financial structure. So keep tha it mind where debit and credit is concerened.

I invite you to do your own research, but what I heard on TV was this. The limit for penalties and fees would be $25. Or your fee would be matched at the price that you overdraft. So for a $5 latta from Star Bucks you wouldnt be charged $30 only $5. This sounds like justice. Of course if you are reckless with your card, then credit card companies will act reckless back toward you.

How does this make you feel? Your comments are welcomed. For a more indepth look at the Credit Card Law you can watch this video from Cambridge Credit

How To Prepare for a Solar Storm

Raleigh Forecast for Saturday: Partly cloudy, High 90 degrees low 69, with a 20% chance of precipitation.

Forecast for the Sun, Saturday: Low 5,778 Kelvin (which is about 9,940.73 degrees Fahrenheit). With absolutely no chance for precipitation. It goes without saying that that is extremely Hot!!!

NASA has there eyes on the sun and many other experts around this beautiful green earth. The sun normally flows on 11 – 13 year cycles. Which means that we may be coming up for another solar storms. Solar storms occur when sunspots on our star erupt and spew out flumes of charged particles that can damage power systems. After looking at this video about the suns activity I realized that this could potentially effect the performance of my iPhone. This got my attention. No, but seriously, if the suns activity could effect our digital devices then think of what else could be effected. This subject might be worth a little investigation. I didn’t think that anything like this would actually happen any time soon.

The global warming is one thing, we had more to do with that than nature. But how do you prepare for a solar storm? solarinterior

  • Sun Screen (check)
  • Umbrella (check)
  • Sun Glasses (check)
  • Super Soaker (check)

Are you serious? The only way to truly prepare is to be informed! I do believe that we will be alright though when the time comes. Our planet has some of the smartest people in the universe on it (well at least on this side of galaxy). Look at this video about The Sun’s Activity with NASA Animation.

On Your mark Get Set… HBO GO!

HBO is doing a new thing. I’m not sure when this begun but I just got hold that HBO is now trying to keep up with Netflix. They are now offering HBO Go, a new video streaming service.

For now, if you’re already an HBO subscriber, you can go online and watch the same movies that HBO plays on their cable channels for free.
So how will HBO make its service better than Netflix’s, that is the question, right?

HBO GO
by HBO GO

Well, for one, they can start by having a bigger movie selection. No one wants to see boring movies (TV remote speaks: “flick, flick, flick through the channels we go…”). They can also offer new subscribers five or six hours free for signing up. Also, create another incentive to generate more subscribers and keep the old ones, like sending out birthday gift cards, holiday deals, and keeping customers continuously updated on new movies.

Plus, Netflix is only $10.00 a month for subscribers, then guess what HBO??? You have to go lower. how low can you go? Hopefully this will help generate revenue for the company. Will you dive in to HBO Go?
On you Mark… Get set… HBO Go!

A Dance With A Smile For Breakfast

May 27, 2010 by Keenan

This weblog post is about dancing for fitness. I’m not talking about Billy Blanks and Taebo
this kind of dancing is a little less intense. If you follow these simple instructions in the next few weeks maybe even days you’ll begin to notice an increase in your daily energy levels.

When you wake up in the morning what do you normally do first? Okay, that’s good but think about this… When your eyes first open don’t move to quickly. Lay there for a moment and ponder on what the rest of your day is going to be like. This will get you in the mood and set your day with purpose. Then, I want you to get up with a smile and walk over to your radio. Press play on the CD in the stereo (the one that you set last night).

Now the fun begins… dance alone

Dance as if no one is looking. Let your smile grow with every jolt of energy as though you don’t have a care in the world. Start off nice and easy. the type of dancing doesn’t matter: ballroom, hip hop, Latin or Zumba. I would say to just go as wild as you possibly can. The objective is to get your energy moving in a positive direction. In the morning it seems to be the best time of the day to loose weight and burn calories. Your body doesn’t have a lot of food to fight because you haven’t eaten yet. Now before you go to bed repeat this process. Make sure you calm your breath as you are laying down and you’ll sleep like a baby.

If you do this for the next couple of weeks you will notice that you have lots more energy and your body will begin to tone up a little more each time. The secret, if there is one, is to just be consistent at dancing and smiling. You wont even realize that you’re working out.
